Knick knack, paddy whack, give the frog a phone
Margaret Pomeranz, host of “At the Movies” on ABC TV, has attacked the censorship of the “Crazy Frog” mobile ringtone advertisement. Ms Pomeranz said by covering the frog’s penis with a censored bar the ringtone company was denying the CGI amphibian the right to express his sexuality. “By hiding the frog’s love muscle in the advertisement, children are given the mixed message that one cannot be both a crazy frog and a heterosexual male in modern society,” Ms Pomeranz said.
“There is an intrinsic beauty in a frog’s schlong and our basic human rights are being quashed by a Nazi conservative minority movement.
“I say free the Crazy Frog’s doodle.”
Ms Pomeranz’s co-host David Stratton said he disagreed with Margaret on the “toad tackle” controversy.
“The directors of the offending ad have made a limp attempt to bring a real Dirk Diggler moment to our screens but haven’t pulled it off,” Mr Stratton said.
“Unfortunately the exposed tadpole does not rise to the occasion, so I’m only going to give it two stars.”
In response to the furore about his “one-eyed trouser snake”, the Crazy Frog simply stated: “Yap da da da de dah. Yep de de da dah!”
